Happy 2nd birthday to my daughter Olivia and happy nursiversary to us! It was always my goal to nurse her at least until she turned two, we made it, and we're still going strong! Having a goal to reach, a support network to lean on, a supportive family, and identifying myself as a breastfeeding mom made my goal easily attainable. Of course it helped that she has had an insatiable appetite since the moment she was born! Happy birthday Olivia and nurse on my love, I will never be a weaner! #happybirthday #extendedbreastfeeding #bestforbabes #luckybaby #ilovebreastfeeding

This is a great reminder for anyone planning a New Year's resolution! Mom's have more influence over their daughters body image than media and peers. There should be a no comment policy about your daughters weight, your weight, and even other peoples weight. Rather than focusing on weight and body image, parents can model healthy behaviors such as eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly. Your son can be just as influenced by negative body image comments as your daughter, whether it is about himself or other women. Teach your children to love the skin they're in! #newyears #stopbodyshaming #beconfident #behealthy #raisestronggirls #raisegoodmen
